Re: Last Tango in Paris Thread all the Best for trying to make Shanghai

Gaston played quite well in parts of the match against an opponent that was tired and tricky at the same time and didn't let himself get frustrated and that was a key.

Gaston however will need to improve to beat Ginepri, he played quite thoughtfully in this match and will need to do the same against Ginepri. I hope he can use some good tactics, like hitting behind Ginepri a lot, instead of the open court. Varying where he stands on return, like throwing up some heavy and slower topspin returns, as Ginepri likes pace.

It seems like with all the results so far, he is almost in Shanghai as an alternate, just hope he can show some improvement and he was relieved that he won it in 2 sets as he should be.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1
