How many of you met Tim in person?

I've seen him once when he was practicing with Thomas Johansson at Indian Wells earlier this year. He was also nice enough to sign my program.

Ooh, Jennifer, you're so lucky! Was he nice? Did you hear him speak? What does he look like in person?
I'm actually going to Round 1 of Tennis Masters Toronto, and I really, really hope I see Tim there!!

I haven't met him in person, but saw him play Davis Cup. My friend was working on the security that day and had to escort him to the toilet when he went for a bathroom break!

GO TIM

Meeting him was awesome! Tim was also practicing with Todd Martin. He has a cool Brit accent, super nice, he looks much taller in person, and did I mention he's so cute? I also took a bunch of pictures of him.

Have fun in Toronto and share your Tim encouter with us! Post your pics here too!

Got his sig at the Davis Cup tie vs Sweden this year. I went 2 hours before a match and when he finished his training he went to the crowd and talked/signed autographs for 15 mins. I said good luck and he said thanks.

I went to York University yesterday for Round 2 in the matinee session, and I SAW TIM PLAY!!!! I saw his singles and his doubles matches! I was SO psyched, and I still am! Anyway, he was great vs Blake...and during one break, Tim changed his shirt. I was up in the crummy blue seats, but what the hey - I could see well enough. Taking pictures from there was another story, though.
My brother and I left Centre Court a little earlier to get in line for Tim's autograph after the match, so I actually missed the last 2 or three games. But anyway, we were waiting outside (I got a picture of James leaving), and we heard the short interview afterwards by the TSN guy or something, and Tim's voice is so cute - I love it. When he finally came out, he signed on the other side of the line, but then he turned around, came over to us, and he signed my ball first!! My brother was holding it, and I said great match to Tim, and he didn't say anything but smiled just a tad. And then when he left, I realized I TOTALLY FORGOT to take a close up picture of him signing! Stupid me, getting all star-struck! I'm still mad at myself!
Anyway, in real life, Tim is actually quite tall (I don't know, I'm only 5'7.5" so...) and he's lanky, and very good looking - more so than those Yahoo! Sports photos make him look, that's for sure! And I don't know, but he didn't seem to have any bad, bad, bad B.O. after sweating for nearly 2 hours. Hmm...
Later, before his doubles match with Todd, this girl in the upper stands yelled really, really loudly, "HENMAN!!!!!!" and Tim, sitting in his chair, heard this, and looked up a bit and I think he was smiling; it was so cute! (his smile)

And that was my wonderful, wonderful, wonderful day, baking in the sun, watching Timmy et al. (And I'm very very sorry this post is so long!)

Are you kidding!!!!! This post is great, I wish it was longer. Wow, you saw Tim play. How lucky is that! I can't believe you didn't take his picture, though. I love his voice, too. I had a sneaking suspicion his picture didn't do him justice. I find the observation of his B.O. particularly interesting.

Thanks for this report!

Are you going again?

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Thanks, Layla. I thought I might've blabbed on a tad bit too long in that post, but...alrighty!
Yeah, I'm such a dork, he was RIGHT THERE and I forgot to take his picture! I took some others, but I have a feeling they didn't turn out that great..Hmm...
Oh, I'm not going again. Tickets are becoming increasingly expensive, and poor Tim is gone.
Don't worry Timmy, I'm still crazy 'bout ya, win or lose!

I saw him in TOronto just after he beat Blake.

I didn't get an autograph because I prefer to take pictures - he was about three feet infront of me signing for someone and I took a really good pic.

I will post it on here sometime

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

LOL about the B. O. comment. Anyway yeah he does looks alot taller than I thought. Then again I am kinda short (5''2) so everybody looks taller than me, except for Tatiana Panova and Amanda Coetzer.

Thanks for sharing your encounter with us, thehenman.
And please post that pic you took, Rebecca!
I would post the pics I took of Tim, but my scanner isn't working for some reason.

Hi! Well, I got my pics from Toronto developed, and if y'all read my big long post above, you probably would've thought I was totally crazy for not getting a CLOSEUP picture of Tim when he was signing our tennis ball, right? Hehe, stupid me. Anyway, I did manage to get one pic of Tim that wasn't really great, but it wasn't out of focus like many of the other ones. Oh well. It's when Tim and Todd entered Centre Court for their doubles match vs Daniel Nestor and Mark Knowles. It's a pretty crummy picture, though. (Sorry I don't know how to post pictures properly)

Click on the button that says post reply, next to new thread. At the bottom of the box that opens up you will find an option for attachments. Hope that helps.
