He's got his style, it's because a kid can serve at 140mph that he can win a title (and watching Tim play is just a pleasure, that can't be said for every single player out there).

Old-fashioned tennis is refreshing and nice to watch. The Bang-Bang-Bang oh we're done tennis today is booooooooooooring. Clay court tennis is great to watch because the big servers don't win.

Fed doesn't serve at 140mph and look what he does, the serve sets up the point but it's what you do for the rest of the point that counts. Hell look at Karlovic, how many tiebreaks does he play cos he is unable to break his opponents serve.

Re: Is Tim too 'old-fashioned'?

Look at Andy Roddick, even with his serve his results haven't been that good this year. A big serve is a definite advantage, but if you haven't got the game to back it up, you're stuck playing tiebreaks like Ivo Karlovic.

20 mph wont make a difference if you have the control of Henman, the man is a gentleman and as another person here said, he is a pleasure to watch and that cannot be said for every player.
