yeah, that's bad losing three times to the same playing within a few days, but not many players can beat Roddick and unfortunately Kiwi is not yet among those. At least his last two matches have been MUCH closer than his match at the RCA Championships where he was without any chance.
He had many break points but couldn't convert any. There are several players who have just one or even no break points against Roddick in the whole match, so Kiwi did pretty well and if he keeps on playing like that it will be only a matter of time when he breaks Roddick for the first time. But IMO first preference for him is still to consolidate his own service game. I didn't see his last matches, but going by the stats of the livescores of Canada and Cincinnati TMS, his service performance already improved dramatically, but still, especially from the Canada TMS I have the feeling that his own service games need to be more dominant. If he can improve in this category I'll like his chances that he can win against many more opponents (except God himself = Federer
) on hardcourt because he is running a very good tiebreak record this season at 14-8, too. He was just even or even negative in 2002 (5-11) so that's already a good improvement
