I have faith that he will beat Greg tomorrow. Rusedski is way past his good days and those good days were way far in between, IMHO.

And another win in doubles to finish off the long, but successful day for Kiwi

Dommy and Kiwi breezed through in this match like a hot knife through cold butter to defeat Kim/Lee 6-3 6-0

WELL DONE! CONTINUE TOMORROW!

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

I hope Kiwi will partner with Hrbaty more often (esp. in US Open). Both are my fave players

Too bad, Kiwi lost to Rusedski 6-3 6-7(4) 4-6

He was down too quickly by two breaks in the third set. At the end of the set he finally got looks on Rusedski's serve, but it was already too late (and Rusedski also double faulted a lot).

I don't know what it was, but it looks as if Rusedski just served too well overall and Kiwi struggled in his service games too much.

Disappointing it's over in the QF this year already, but well... nothing we can do about it, lets move on to the next tournament. Rusedski was just too good today.

doubles still remaining, I hope they play tomorrow!

I have so much hope that Kiwi can win the title after Andy lost today.
Too bad Kiwi lost too

MD for LA has been released. Kiwi has a potential to meet Greg again in QF , hope we will see revenge there

LA isn't going to be easier either, rather on the contrary: much harder

I hope he doesn't lose his confidence and his belief for the next tournaments!

omg How can Greg brake his serve 3 times? I fear in LA is Blake even more difficult to defeat than Rusedski.

Re: Finally, Kiwi at Indiana RCA!! Going as damn strong 2nd seed into the tournamant! ;)

I saw the match on tv. It was pathetic to watch. To be honest, I couldn't watch the end of the 3rd set. I stopped watching when it was 2-5.

Nicolas played well in the 1st set. He double faulted a lot in that set, always at 40-0. He showed his football skills with the tennis ball.

The second set, he had chances to break in the 1st game. He was 0-30 several times. Greg served well, but Nicolas did return well when he was on. I don't think it was Greg's serving that totally won the match. Nicolas missed a lot of volley's that he normally doesn't miss, his forehand in the net a lot. He tried to lob 3468975448 times and maybe 3 worked. Instead of lobbing Greg, hit a hard flat ball at his feet and make him hit the half volley. Tall players have a hard time bending low to get those balls instead of giving a lousy lob with a overhead smash. Just my 2 cents.

The 3rd set, the same. Greg was coming into net a lot and rushing Nicolas. He had no time to hit the shots. Even though, he said he fought in that match, he didn't fight the whole time. He was in la la land in middle of the 2nd until he broke back. Then at the beginning of the 3rd.

Maybe he was tired, woke up on the wrong side of the bed, ate some nasty american fast food, who knows but Greg didn't beat him by playing that well. Nicolas beat himself. Greg played well at times and picked up his game after the 1st set, but Nicolas had his chances. Granted, Nicolas could have been frustrated with Greg's crap balls. I call Greg the type of player, a hacker. I play in my leagues these old people sometimes who are good but can't hit proper groundstrokes (ie Greg and his chip backhand) and just hack the ball at you until you make the mistake. That drives me crazy, so I imagine with the multiple personalties of Kiwi's, it would drive him bonkers too.

It's a shame that he lost because he had a real chance here to end his title drought with Andy gone. I'm sorry but playing Ginepri or Beck in the final, would have most likely brought a title. I was looking forward to see Nicolas with the RCA dogs.

Don't worry, I think it worked fine. I got about three or four replies from you. Pardon me that I didn't send you much more frequent updates during the long third set, but I felt so after this bad start in the third set when Rusedski was quickly up by two breaks at the beginning. Hopefully the final result didn't spoil your evening too much

This seems to happen too much for my liking.
Kiwi
I think this would have been one of the best opportunities to win a tournament this year, too bad he didn't take it

My German guys are like the cast of the Wizard of Oz:

Rainer = Lion
Kiwi = Scarecrow
Tommy = Tin Man
Flo = Dorothy

...but I still love 'em

I can´t believe that he lost . I thought that Kiwi would be able to win the title after Robbys win against Andy. It´s such a shame that Kiwi is sooooo inconsistent. On one day he plays like a top 10 player, the next day he plays like an amateur. Now we have to look forward to LA, although I don´t think that Kiwi´s going to win the whole thing there, because the number of participants is much stroger than in Indy.
