Re: Kiwi in Rome!

Haas must be pissed off now

Well done, just 5 steps to go.

And Kühnen should give him some matches now Düsseldorf.

Re: Kiwi in Rome!

At the moment Kiefer and Haas should be the best team for Düsseldorf.

There's quite a gap between them and Schüttler/Mayer/everybody else at the moment.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Kiwi in Rome!

quote Kiwi:

"I'm very content. It's always strange to play against a fellow German. But this win might be very good for my confidence."

(on the fact that he will go as big outsider into the match against claycourt specialist Coria):
"I don't mind. At least, after such a match, you know where your current level is at. (...) More important to me would be, playing good at home [in Hamburg]."

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Kiwi in Rome!

just too bad that Kiwi has to play a top claycourt specialist so early again...

but after this match, I am much more confident, too, again and maybe he does something that Coria does not like tomorrow *dream*

Re: Kiwi in Rome!

i watched some of the match (in the ad breaks on andys match) and i felt really sorry for kiwi (as much as i hate him for destroying tommy, and love guille) he just looked like he couldn't hold himself together out there, he took a fall in the 2nd game i don't know if that affected him or not but he just didn't seem to be the same player than beat tommy. however that being said guille did appear to be back to his best and i think even if he had played the way he playe dagainst tommy he could have struggled.
i hope its not an injury or anything. as i said only saw bits of the match in the ad breaks but he just didn't seem himself.

Good Luck to my boys

Re: Kiwi in Rome!

Yeah okay, lets say it was an expected loss. I would have loved him to make it at least 3 & 3, but under normal circumstances Coria would probably win 19 of 20 matches on clay.

@Éowyn
Doesn't suprise me that Kiwi seemed to have no clue. That's how the scoreline looks and Coria is mega top on this surface when playing good. However, I don't think there was an injury involved. In the update on his homepage he is saying that he is glad that he is healthy again and that the leg was well.

I've never seen before that he won only 44% of his first serves?!

Kiwi

Though I'm not surprised...I wish the scoreline had been tighter.

Eowyn, I like Guille too...just not as much as Kiwi .
