1st round: Kiefer vs O. Rochus
Let me say something about that, I'm quite confident that he will beat him this time! If Kiwi and his coach are clever they have a plan ready for him this time. And I think Kiefer will get it done this time; but he must be healthy and fit. This match is no match where you can rest in the 1st round.

Yeah, he is quick. And the dangerous and feared thing about Rochus is that Rochus is able to put up a brutal effort as he is a very ambitous player. He knows he is short and that he can't hit 10 aces every set and that he is willing to equalize that with effort. Often it's very tough to hit winners against him, only the best strokes score, but I see a good chance for Kiwi if he comes to the net.
On a good day, Rochus can annoy you, similiar like Canas, because he gets most of the shots back and because you as his opponent know that you have to risk even closer shots to the lines to score or set up points than usually needed against other players. Being aware of that, this increases your own rate of errors. The last perfect example of that was when I watched the Moya vs Rochus US Open match. But Kiwi's backhand is better than Moya's so I hope it won't be that easy for Rochus to shift the game to one side as he mainly did against Moya to avoid trouble.
Rochus' 5 set record is 6-10, so despite playing only for 5 or 6 years on the Tour and never making it really far in Grand Slams, he has already accumulated 16 five sets matches. In comparision, Kiwi's record is 5-8 (13 matches) and he's playing since 1995/1996.
If necessary, I hope that it's 6-8 after this match
But I hope that it won't get so far and that Kiwi can handle him in four sets
Hopefully Kiefer will be able to play well
