I hope you're right, but wee Ollie is a fighter. Remember those epic matches he had in the US Open last year?

My German guys are like the cast of the Wizard of Oz:

Rainer = Lion
Kiwi = Scarecrow
Tommy = Tin Man
Flo = Dorothy

...but I still love 'em

That's true. The Wimbledon loss was really bad
But I think that cancelling Nottingham would have worked as optimal preparation for Wimbledon because he was on a good way against Johansson in this 1st round. He was up 2-0 sets and another break, but after the rain delay the "old" Kiwi came back to the court. I think he would have gotten the job done this day, because it looked really good after two and half sets and Johansson isn't bad at all on grass

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: The Australian Open

I met Kiefer this morning (final qualifying day). He was practising with Florian Mayer He looks a bit slimmer than last year, but of course healthy He hit the balls pretty well today and hopefully it's a good sign for his match on Monday. After the practice, I asked for his autograph & photos (my second one with him ) and asked if he is feeling well now (which he answered 'yes').

I haven't printed out the message in "Dear Kiwi" thread since I want to leave it until Sunday to allow for more entries. I will try my best to give it to Kiwi on Monday after his match (last match in Show Court #3). I remember last year he lost his match in this court too, hopefully this year the result will be the other way around

Go Go Kiwi
