Re: KIWI at Next Generation Hardcourts (Adelaide)

So, he's wearing Wilson clothing now. I wonder if that's just a temporary thing until he signs a new contract or if this will be his new company. Perhaps Wilson would like to draw more attention to their clothing line with a top ranked player...

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Thanks, I might be jumping the gun a bit, but I think if he keeps on playing solid tennis like this he will improve his ranking dramatically

VERY GOOD JOB finding all those pictures!!

HOLY COW! the little pint-sized Rochus bageled Szepanek???
Rochus can fight very much and put lots of effort into his matches, but that's just unbelievable! I hope that doesn't mean Rochus was that good, but rather means Stepanek had an off-day today

I'm curious about their doubles result tonight...

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Thanks, I wouldn't mind doing that. Other than the fact that he's gorgeous, I like Jan Michael alot, and I'm gonna watch him closely this year. I'm hoping he can finally start reaching his potential. So if u ever need a JMG pics, I'll be glad to find them.

Re: KIWI at Next Generation Hardcourts (Adelaide)

from BBC SPORT

Quote:
Third seed Nicolas Kiefer defeated Cyril Saulnier 6-4 6-3, while Belgium's Olivier Rochus defeated Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic 6-0 6-3.

Kiefer is donating £75 to children's charity Unicef following the Asian disaster for every ace he hits during the four-week Australian tennis season.

He fired one ace in Wednesday's match and has hit six so far at Adelaide.

"I'll do whatever I need to do to help these people. I'm willing to do it and I'm ready to do it," Kiefer said.

"I was just thinking what I can do to help these people and I got this idea."

In November, Kiefer played an exhibition match in Thailand but since the tsunami struck he has been unable to contact friends there.

"I tried to stay in contact with all these people there but [from Phuket] I didn't get an answer and I feel very bad, and I don't know what's going on," he said.

"When you lose a match you're very disappointed, but what is losing a match compared to what's happened over there? You have to be realistic."
