Heheh, I kinda thought someone would ask that! A schnitzel is a popular dish in Germany and Austria (also known as a Wiener Schnitzel). It's simply a veal cutlet breaded and fried, usually served with French fries.
There is a local chain of resturants here in Austin, Tx, called Weiner Schnitzel. There is a lot of German settlers who settled around here in Texas and you'll find several German sounding towns nearby with lots of German food. I can eat a bratwurst wrapped in a flour tortilla (remember I'm in Texas) all day long.
Besides the food, there is a lot of German influence in central Texas with Oktoberfest and the weiner dog races, where we race daschunds. My dogs Oscar and Otto never cross the finish line
