Good job at least winning the match in two sets!
I'm not that confident if his next opponent is a fit Blake. Why? Because Safin made horrible and deciding errors from time to time in many important situations and I think that Kiwi has to improve his overall play because against a good opponent, he has to earn these points much more.
But it's good so far and this win should make him Top 200 again!
can someone tell me if kiefer's currently relying on wildcards (does he get any in the states?) or if he just uses his protected ranking in order to climb up the rankings again?
He's unlikely to get wild cards for the big tournaments, therefore he had to use his protected ranking for the Masters and will have to do so for the US Open.
