I believe he didn't know the rules so well and he didn't know that he's out after Del Porto retired. I think both Korolev and Blake were victims of RR idiotic rules. It was unfair for Balke that he was out only because Del Porto had retired against him. If you read the thread you'll see that at first most of the postes were angry that Blake was out due to those rules. The tournament wanted Blake to advance and they tried to go against the rules and it was for sure very wrong and unfiar for Korolev but I wouldn't blame Blake too hard for accepting it. Everybody makes mistakes.
Irina, I didn't entirely blame Blake for this whole mess. As I said, without those idiotic RR rules, a situation like this would have never come up in the first place. I do agree both Blake and Korolev were victims of them but I was disappointed in Blake's behaviour. As Maria pointed out, he as the VP of the Player's Council should have been aware of the rules, especially since he had been promoting them. I'm sure it wasn't the worst behaviour in the world but it did hurt his reputation in my eyes and I can't imagine Marat would have acted the same way.
I agree with Maria. But just wanted to say I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I am only an occasional visitor here - would never want to cause offence
I didn't intent to offend anyone either. I just tried to explain to Aleka why I and some other ppl don't like Blake anymore.
isn't it Ljubicic ?
