I'm sorry to butt in, but does this mean that Sasha is now able to travel with Marat wherever he plays? I seem to remember that in year 2000 he had family commitments and had to decline Marat's offer to coach and travel with him. Or am I just a candidate for the loony bin and had my facts mixed up?
No, you're right, and he still has those darn commitments, but he's agreed to 4 slams & 5 MS events next year, as I recall. Not exactly full time, but we'll take what we can get. In 2000 he was there for a few big tournaments, most notably the unforgettable US Open.
And we're all candidates for the loony bin here, so welcome.
