Talking Marat in Geneva

Looks like Marat is playing in Geneva for the Little Dreams foundation on December 8

website is http://www.littledreamsfoundation.co...eams/index.htm The website is in French!

To see the players list you need to click on the "Exhibition de Tennis" button.

Federer, Moya, Santoro, Rosser, Clement, Pioline, Escude, Mathieu, Mauresmo, Becker, and more, it is quite a list!

Re: Marat in Geneva

I hope more news on this will come soon. I've read about it, but all these players will come + some promising juniors, there's music and it only lasts one night. The tennis takes about 2.5 hours. I'm confused lol

SINCE THERE'S NO TENNIS ACTION I WENT FOR TONGUE ACTION

Re: Marat in Geneva

no news, is it possible that he is just showing up at the event, not playing at it?

Here's what Ruth post on her web site earlier :

``According to the event website, Marat is due to make an appearence, but this morning, his management were not aware of the event or Marat's participation. I don't want to worry fans, because Marat may have organised this himself (as it's only a 1 night thing) or Marat simply didn't mention it to this manager! But it could be the website has listed Marat as a 'hopeful' player rather than a 'confirmed' one.``

Source: (theguyfromrussia.com, Thanks Ruth! )

Allez allez allez allez Marat !
Good Luck for the grass season!

Re: Marat in Geneva

his name is under joueurs attendus which means expected players. This could mean that he was suposed to come, but didn't. I'll ask some people on other boards, who are from Switzerland, whether they know more about it.

Marat in Geneva

This was posted on Christine's board by Katie who went - Marat was a no show

Hey!!!
Well the Tennis in Geneva was great!!! The players who were there were Bahrami, Noah, Llhasek, Santoro, Boetsch, Becker, Federer, some wheel chair players, Amelie Mauresmo and Manuela Maleeva! It really rocked!!! I managed to take some pictures also, about 33! So, i hope that they will come out well!

Basically in the beginning, the players were warming up with some upcoming swiss players! It was great to see,and these youngsters are quite impressive nowadays, they hit the ball so hard for their age! Anyway, there were many doubles matches such as: Noah, Mauresmo-Mauela Maleeva, Boetsch. And there were of course singles matches where Federer played all of them! And he won every match! It is so amazing to watch him play, so light on his feet, such precision with his shots, and very talented!

The atmosphere between all players was awesome! They were all so relaxed and smiling ALL the time, it was great to see compared to very important matches, where they all stay focused!

Yannick Noah of course spiced the evening up with his sense of humour, we were all prctically falling off our seats, because he was so hillarious!

A great evening it was with a lot of good tennis!I will put the pictures up on my website, witha report of the match! Will keep you all posted!

MARAT wasn't there though, or Carlos, which was annoying, but all in all the evening was superb!
