You forgot Chesnokov and Volkov they were both funny and intelligent.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Favourite Marat Quotes / Quotes about Marat

"Tell me one limited person who would be No.1 in the world. You would say [Lleyton] Hewitt. It's not true. Believe me, this guy has so much. He has huge balls and he is so great physically it's a joke. I mean, whenever it comes to the really important point in a match, he gives the best passing shot of the year probably."

oh vass, you're such a prude. All those phrases are harmless. TF is right, if you think Marat's language is offensive you hear some of the athletes over here ...not only vulgar but disrespectful. At least Marat was giving credit to his opponent.

Walt Landers : «Safin surprised me by his commitment»

Paris - 04/11/2004
How does Marat rate as opposed to other players you’ve worked with?
I started working with Marat, last year in Monte-Carlo. He was going through some rough times because of numerous injuries following one after the other. We worked together, and I was very surprised by his commitment and desire to always do more. I heard different things about him, but I make it a point to always forge my own opinion on someone. The thing about Marat, is that when he wants to work he may be the most professional person I’ve worked with.

Marat Safin - always the one and only

maybe, yeah...

But this is my response to TF's argument: there might always be someone worse than you, but it's not an excuse for doing a bad thing anyway...
