Re: Peter Lundgren glorification thread

I am not sure about the weather I think tomorrow is meant to be worse than today.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I'm a little bit tired George...Nobody here mentioned Peter, don't worry...We know that Marat is not a kid anymore....He has to take the responsability and find his own way.

I was in shitty mood yesterday because of his loss...I have the right to be sad or angry or hysterical if I want to (in Marat's forum).

Peter has nothing to do with it.

Concerning the OAF part, the only one who mentioned this term in GM yesterday was not even a Marat fan...But a JesusFed fan...
Even if we were sad we congratulated Ferrero.

I would appreciate if you and others gave much credits to Marat's fans...We are not stupid or blind...We are not making excuses and we don't want Peter to be sacked.

And no, I don't like it when people call him "Mr Excuse" now.

Maybe he'll win Barcelona, who knows?

Actually, That's my problem...everything can happen.

That's Marat...Spectacular win followed by bad losses...and a spectacular win again when nobody believes in him anymore.

When you like a player, you want him to win so badly...You wait...You hope...but the train is running away.

In his last itw he said that RG is his goal for the whole carreer...and I believe him because this tournament is very special for him...but I hope he knows what's he doing because he's not that young anymore...He can't win 6 5setters on clay.

LOL!! Actually, I'm more afraid of that than of Marat fireing Peter. I was talking abt that with my sis after we heard the... ahem.... news.... and we were both like "God, please don't let Peter get sick of Marat's mood swings (gamewise) and leave him!!!!"

Re: Peter Lundgren glorification thread

He would be better than Denis as a coach. But not Marat's coach. (not that Denis was an actual coach... )

Re: Peter Lundgren glorification thread

I start to think that Marat doesn't need a coach. What for? He wins whenever he feels like winning, not when his coach does something right. I think that it's his subconsciousness that makes him win or lose, and unless he has Freud coaching him nothing will ever change.

He doesn't need a coach, he needs a shrink. He says that psychologist don't do anything but listen to what you say about yourself, etc. Well yeah. That's what some of them do. And believe it or not, it helps people.

I doubt that Peter is a good enough psychologist to help Marat. He's been around for a year but it is very arguable that he had any significant influence on Marat.

Vass, I started to suspect the same thing some time ago, but didn't dare say it, cause I still think and hope that this thought is wrong.

I think Marat is right when he shakes his head when asked about Peter in interviews. WHAT CAN HE DO? Ask Marat why he's losing? But is Marat really willing to discuss this with anybody for hours (you can't exectly point out the answer directly). Marat needs a serius 'therapy' in that area. If Peter knows that Marat needs this, if Marat is willing to do this, only then will Peter as a coach be valuable.

Perhaps that's what Peter is trying to do. But he's unsuccessful in this, at least to this moment. The only reason for this partnership to continue is HOPE that at some point Peter will succed as a psychologist. But if I'm asked to bet on the outcome of all this I'll definitely bet on failure.
