haha yeah...well his draw last year wasn't exactly easy and he still made it...he needs some straight sets wins though...last year every single one was either 4 or 5 sets...except the final

he has not won a match in straight sets at a GS since Wimbledon 2002.

Oh well at least he could see the humour of it, as did Federer. And the commentators
(this of course inspired Carl Maes to go on a lecture about Marat not being able to concentrate on the present and his head was in the past etc etc)

for him an easy first round is not an easy first round... because when he faces easy opponents in the first rounds he has almost always problems with them, because he is probably not motivated enough.
If he faces some big names the chance is bigger that he is really motivated and plays well, then he can blast them off the court.
