>>Davis Cup 2005<<

Hi everyone
I know we will play against Russia in March and I also know we have few chances against Marat and company ( )....whatever...this thread is to interchange information and news of the DC, both of Russia and Chile. Also I want to ask to friends from Russia at what hour do you transmit DC's match in Russia (generally)? Early in the morning?...Thanks

Around noon, if memory serves.

And I honestly think that team Chile has a fair chance. Youzhny, Andreev, Davidenko are all perfectly beatable opponents for Nico and Gonzalez, and Marat well... is Marat. No one knows how he'll play next week, let alone in March. I won't even mention doubles - Chile has this one in the bag. One way ore the other, I'm pretty sure it won' t be a wipeout.

Btw., do you mind telling me who else is on your team, beside Massu and Gonzalez?

Thanks for your information foul_dwimmerlaik
DC's team is Massu, González, Hermes Gamonal and Adrián García, but these two last ones are not good players.
Well, I can tell you that the news here it's commented about Marat and how dangerous is he . Also there worries to the people the type of surface in which it's going to be played (carpet and indoor as far as we have listened)...isn't it??

Re: >>Davis Cup 2005<<

thanks for the information.

also I hold that team Chile has the chance to win if they make a proper arrangement. Massu and Gonza are big opponents for Russian. maybe they could win two singles and one double. I will cheer for the perfect matches then. and good luck to Russian!

NOVAK-DJOKOVIC

MARAT-SAFIN FOREVER

Good luck to GUGA MISHA CARLOS & FER

Call me Tanya.

I suppose it's not decided yet, but most probably yes, it'll be indoor carpet. Well, "indoor" part is guaranteed. Not a bright idea to play outdoors in Moscow in March.

Yes, overall the level of our players is higher, but they're all so goddamn streaky...

Hi Carolina, hi Tanya and all the others! The Chileans are streaky too, aren't they! And on indoor carpet Marat & Co should be better. But you never know of course what might happen before the tie will take place. And yeah, the singles matches usually start at 11.00 or so Moscow time when they're played in Moscow, the doubles start a bit later, at 13.00 maybe. We'll let you know the exact times when they'll be announced. Check the time difference Carolina!

I totally agree, The Chileans are strong with Gonzalez and Massu, best example are the Olympic Games 2004

Marat Safin - always the one and only

well, I trust that, at least, we can get the third point (the doubles). Now...the singles points???...I've few hopes...I don't know...really I don't know it....oh...and I need to ask one more question: if Russia choose to play in carpet I understand they want to put the fastest surface that they could (at least it's what we have heard hereabouts) but I wonder: There is a surface faster than cement? What type of carpet would be this?

Sometimes I'm even able to convince myself that I don't really believe in victory. Then it doesn't hurt so much.

That'd be awesome. I so regret that I won't be able to come to Moscow for that tie.
