Re: Glam & Tennis in Monte Carlo!

More launch party pics on Zimbio. I never thought I'd utter these words, but Murray was definitely the belle of the ball...

http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/PqnJK...ty/b78ZxG7XdzV

Here's a larger version of a photo which has already been posted in the 2009 Piccies thread (of course I discover this only after much toil on photobucket, damn and blast). Anyway it proves that Marat has actually stepped onto a clay court before MC.

With Brazilian trainer Rafael Westrupp at TenisVal, Valencia, 08 April 2009. Found here: http://globoesporte.globo.com/Esport...+ESTA+NO+.html

Original, uncropped, untinted pic attached below.

Found an older photo from late Nov/early Dec 2007, again at TenisVal: http://huilatenis.blogspot.com/2008/...d-olmpica.html. I don't know who the bloke next to Marat is, maybe the writer of the article. Could any Spanish speakers out there help to identify him?

... and one from 2008 v either Malisse or Ferrer.

Re: Glam & Tennis in Monte Carlo!

belle of the ball as in best looking?

sorry, as a straight male, even I can see that Andy Murray is an ugly guy and can't really be compared to those of old Marat...

Murray really has nothing going for him in the looks department, I'm so glad I don't look like that

I know! Yesterday on tv here they showed the 5 of them at this party, and when I saw F-Lo that's exactly what I thought!

He might not be the hottest, but on these pics he's probably one of the best dressed. The others look either gay or should be arrested for fashion crime. He's wearing jeans with a black shirt and black jacket. Nothing shiny, nothing outrageously colored. It's simple and looks good

I'm not comparing his looks with Marat's or anyone else's. I meant in the clothes department, Murray's outfit was the easiest on the eye, which is, to me, très beau.

Could this be Feli's fashion inspiration ...?

Re: Glam & Tennis in Monte Carlo!

Hmm. Call me crazy but I think F-Lo looks kind of alright. Apart from that blue pendant thingy and the belt. I like his hair.

Andy Murray is not a stud but at least he dresses normally.

I think white jackets (Nole, Nadal) should be forbidden altogether. They never look good on anyone. And Nole's jacket looks like a woman's jacket to me.

Re: Glam & Tennis in Monte Carlo!

Oh right I thought you were speaking about his face, I suppose, these tennis players seem to have a rechid fashion sense, Novak djokovic looked like he was taking a trip to the North Pole. I doubt Marat was at that thing but he would probably have been wearing that "lumberjack" shirt

I've heard somebody who saw him in person describe him as "very handsome and pleasing on the eye"

Well, I saw him in person two weeks ago, and, I have to say, that's not how I would have described him...

And Novak looked pretty stupid in that jacket - he's really trying too hard... I won't even mention Lopez I can't figure out what these guys are thinking. They make me actually like the lumberjack garb - at least he's not 'trying' to be trendy, just throwing on what's comfy amd warm

I like his clothes too apart from the belt. Nothing wrong with a metrosexual man.

Re: Glam & Tennis in Monte Carlo!

The white jacket Djokovic is wearing is girly? or ois just me?

Edit: sorry didn't read carefully above so the right sentence:
That jacket is girly!

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. (Albert Einstein)

I would love to see that!
