Dinara's interview for Sport Express (In Russian) http://www.sport-express.ru/newspaper/2011-04-13/7_1/

И для него воскресли вновь
И божество, и вдохновенье,
И жизнь, и слезы, и любовь.

Dinara d. Cornet 61 63 today. Nice going for Dinara! It's a wonder what a bit of confidence can do for one's game! Hope she can keep it up.

But someone tweet she injured again, true this? I do not hear this anywhere else?

I have seen no such tweet... Please provide your source if you have one, or don't start unsubstantiated rumors.

Yes, milkomonstr - it is good to see. Hope she can keep it up, too. But it is a shame that the draw has two Russians up against each other. Dinara's up against Pivovarova next.

But if she gets through this next round, then she's up against the winner of the Brianti/Oudin match.

The Fes women's singles draw:

Do hope she can keep getting through. There might even be a title in it for her here, if she can.

Dinara Safina def. Anastasia Pivovarova 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to earn her place in the semifinals of Fes. Yes, yes, and yes! Very happy for the kid!

Re: Dinara Part 2

Its great, isn't it milkomonstr - semifinals - and with a good chance of getting through to the finals. It really is just what Dinara needs to give her, her confidence back again.

Re: Dinara Part 2

Wow, a title or final would be complete gravy at this point! Think she'll take a ton of confidence from this tournament just making it to the semis, but oh, I would SO love to see her take it all! I really do love watching her on clay when she's determined!

Re: Dinara Part 2

Dinara withdrew from the tournament in Fes due to food poisoning and a high fever. I, for one, am glad it is due to that, which is very temporary, as opposed to another injury. Hope the girl takes a TON of confidence from her play of late, and cleans up during this clay court season!

This is waaaaaay off topic but just a random observation....the woman in the back of the photo behind Dinara looks like Dasha Zhukova, perhaps it's just me who thinks it's her?
