A bit of news - According to Channel 7 News, Marat just arrived in Melbourne this afternoon!
Gosh it felt good to see him playing on tv for those few seconds hehe.

I found the following livestream link for Kooyong - it worked for me for the Doha final on Saturday but it doesn't always work. Hope it works for others:

I may have got the timing wrong, but it looks like they're showing Kooyong from midnight (Tuesday night) to 6am (Wednesday morning) GMT (UK time) and for the following days at the same times.
Apparently Federer and Haas have both withdrawn from Kooyong. Haas has been replaced by Davydenko and it's as yet undecided who will play instead of Federer. Can't see it making much difference to Marat, but you never know?!! He's looking very fit (in both senses of the word!) on the photos people posted so as usual I have high hopes, more fool me
Are you going to the Australian Open and will be there to support Marat in his 1st Round Match?
We have 10 large banners for 10 fans to hold up and support Marat at his 1st round match. If you will be there for the rest of the week and so will Marat then of course you will keep supporting Marat with the banners. The intention is to provide a big visual and vocal back up support for Marat.
The closing date is Thursday 10th January.
Please get your entries in. I MUST STRESS this is not a competition for tickets - just for those fans already going ready to make sure that Marat has a special effort and showing to support and get him through. The longer he is there the more we will need the fans.
Davydenko has replaced Haas, and Bagdahtis has replaced Federer in Kooyong. Its not really better news for Marat haha, but at least ill enjoy this tournament more since im over Federer
Shall we have a new thread for the Kooyong and AO or not?
Schedule of Play:
Wednesday January 9 - 4 matches from 11am
Davydenko v Baghdatis
followed by
Roddick v Ljubicic
followed by
Gonzalez v Nalbandian
followed by Murray v Safin
And I will not say a word about the banners stuff. :ignore:
Think that Fed was scared by the thought of him might playing Marat and made up the stomach flue
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
