here's one more of him practicing... I'm loving him in the capri's - they're a bit tighter than those huge, baggy, baggy "shorts" he normally wears

That's sad. It's one thing if a tournament/DC tie saves a few groups of tickets for the sponsors, but not that much! The tickets should be open for anyone (the real tennis fans) to buy and not reserved for the rich fat cats.

Even the capri's look a little big. He needs shorts that fit. But those big shorts could be helpful for the upcoming Masters events - during rain delays he could prop them up and use them as a tent!

Oh, you don't want to hear about the phone call saga... at one point FRT was saying they're only sold in Sibiu and over in Sibiu everyone was saying they're only sold in Bucharest.

Oficially, they were only sold in Sibiu, but I'm pretty sure they had some over at the FRT HQs, for random people with "connections". The bullshitting they pulled over the phone was staggering.

Re: 2009 DC Thread

The ticket situation really sucks for fans! Shame these things happen.

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far you can go.

Re: 2009 DC Thread

not tiriac all the people who were at the head of the federation.....until a week ago or so... But the biggest problem is that we don't have a proper court for this kind of tennis matches... I don't think I will live to see that.

I don't want to scare you this is the truth. 500 tickets were sent for the russian federation. about 350 tickets were kept by the romanian federation. and it was said that on sale will be 1000 tickets but the majority of the tickets were sold before the time it was meant the tickets to be sold. Anyway...this kind of shit happened all the time around here.

Re: 2009 DC Thread

^^^

not completely true. The 300 tickets reserved for the open public(only 15% of the stadium's capacity!) were sold in 15 minutes on Monday. The only ones who knew that those 300 tickets were on sale were the ones with "connections". The 300 tickets were supposed to be with 100 more than the ones provided for the tie against France(according to FRT). Actually, it was the same shit, only worse.

About 600 tickets are for the Russian officials and crowd and the other 1000 were invitations for the "fat cats". Basically, 50% of the stadium will be filled with sponsors and lucky people able to provide an invitation(for whatever cause).

For all i know, people without "connections" don't stand a chance. We aren't given the chance to even hope for a ticket.
And then they start appearing on press conferences, blaiming each other for who's responsible for the eternal poor organizing. I'm sick with this bullshit.
