Grass kick-off...Marat wants to be Queen *cough, sorry* King of Queens 2007

The Artois Championships

Place: London, England
Date: June 11-17 2007
Draw Size: 56
Surface: Grass
Prize Money: 680,250 Euros
Tournament Director: Ian Wight
Website: www.artoischampionships.com

I never created a cheering thread in Marat's forum so I thought it's about time We have to forget about the clay season (I know, AGAIN ) and try some grass Marat decided this year to switch from Halle to Queens. I dare hope this is a good decision as Queens has a better line-up (yeah, yeah I know Fed goes to Halle but he's not in the valuable players cathegory, he has his own cathegory, the "Number 1 cathegory" ) full of valuable players which might provoke the winner in Marat and remind him he is not gone. Easy on the beer though Marat! So all there is left to do is cheer for Marat to move his ass much better on grass and give a shot to becoming the Queen *oopsie the same mistake again * KING of Queens!!!

Goooo SAFIN ~ BERDYCH ~ MURRAY ~ SIMON ~ NALBANDIAN ~ SODERLING

Home sweet home! I was happy on that area, so I hope Marat be happy as much as I was. So VAMOS MARATIK!!!
Funny title!
BTW, one more laugh after seen a bizarr Mark Phillipoussis in a bizarr TV show!
I just hope that such idea doesn't cross Marat's head! Eventough he is quite doing the same in real life lately!

Hoping Marat will be in London soon to start practising...sounds like he's still in Moscow, and it also sounds like he'll be accompanied only by Miguel Maeso at Queens, though I guess it's not a major tournament so Sasha wouldn't be there anyway.
As Ancic has pulled out and Murray is likely to, somebody (I think on tgfr) said Marat would get a bye to the 2nd round. I was hoping to get some tickets from a friend for the Monday but it looks like he'll be on court on Tuesday - how typical would that be?

Oh yikes! There's a handful of unseeded players at Queens Marat would want to avoid in his first (i.e. second) round, and Grosjean has got to be one of the least wanted! Never mind...everything's crossed so am hoping for the best
