Which happened a decade ago.. The technology made hardcourts much safer, easier on joints.. Modern Decoturf-II or hardcourt Greenset are nowhere as hard on joints as previous versions were.. In fact we have some major players missing every Roland Garros or Wimbledon because of being injured on clay. Who missed this US Open other than Safin who is still struggling with an injury that he got .. on clay?
Injuries can happen on any surface, considering clay is actually the easiest surface on the joints on the body in general.
Old misconception. Most of major recent injuries happened on clay.
