Exclamation how will lleyton perform in Roland Garros?

Lleyton has withdrawn from the Hamburg Masters series with the toe injury. He has been away from the court for a long time. The French Open is coming this month. Let's talk about his significant return and wish him a good result!!!
C'mon Lleyton

Yeah, good luck to Lleyton, hope he comes back as strong as possible. He's just about missing the clay court season entirely! Hopefully he feels good enough to play at RG and best of luck to him!

We'll know more about his chances after he plays WTC. On the positive side, he won't be exhausted at RG, as he has been in some years. But he certainly won't be match-tough.

C'mon, Lleyton!

I think the extra rest will do him good. He played the AO Final injured and played the IW final with that toe injury so his body was screaming for a break. I like his chances at Wimbledon and the US Open. I think this injury break will turn out well for his GS prospects in the long run this year.

I don't know about his chances in RG, with his lack of preparation and all. The injury was very unfortunate, but what can you do? It happens. I am still hoping he will do well though. You can never count Lleyton out! However, Wimbledon and US Open are another story. Definetely a favorite there!

A 4th round in Roland Garros should be reasonable goal, I would say. A QF would also be well within his reach, he has shown it last year, but I am not too confident then because I didn't see him play on clay this season yet.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

I'm stating the obvious to say that a lot will depend on his draw, and how many clay court specialists (floaters and lower seeds) he has to play in the early rounds. That's where his lack of clay court matches is most likely to show. If he makes it through to the second week, then it's a different story, since he will be match tough. That's when the time off would actually help him.

C'mon, Lleyton!

So he will play RG? I thought he'd stay home with Bec for a while.

Assuming there are no problems with her health, I don't see why he needs to stay home with her. When the baby's actually due is another story, of course, but that's about a month after the US Open.

C'mon, Lleyton!

Bec's going over before Wimbledon anyway, so it would only be a few weeks

im sure if he recovers he will have a good performance in RG, i think a quarterfinal like last year would be really great.

Re: how will lleyton perform in Roland Garros?

The question is, will he recover in less than two weeks? I'm really afraid that he won't be ready for RG.

I don't expect to see him at RG. Won't be surprised if he doesn't play Wimbledon either. Depends on the nature of the injury, and nobody seems to know anything about it yet. :
