At least that comment shows that Lleyton is totally devoted to Kim. Marly I never saw your pic so I can't comment on what you look like! Believe me my parents are more evil than all of yours put together!

And Angele, I don't think for a second that Darren didn't like Kim. I suppose it must have been a purely professional opinion, maybe fearing that Lleyton would loose focus at a certain point if Kim would be too much 'in the picture', something like that.

Although I am convinced that being together does help them, instead of being a cause for an early loss. Their ranking is proof enough.

I totally agree! Their careers have only gotten better since they've started dating so Darren didn't have a valid arguement if that indeed was what was bugging him. Anyways I hope Jason isn't as uptight as Darren was re Kim

Marly, since when am I a patient of yours???( now I will have to be careful, haven't got any bill yet...)
See, look, right there. Clearly a sign of a combination of amnesia and denial.

Luckily for everyone here, I work on a pro bono basis.

As to my age Angele, let's put it in this way: one fairly could say that I am not the youngest in here LOL.

As far as I recall now, Darren didn't like Lleyton and Kim being together when they had an early loss in a tournament, or at least that was said. He'd rather had Lleyton focusing on the next tourney instead of going to Kim's tourney or Kim coming to his tournament, it all had to do with something like that, as far as I can remember right now.
Yep. Imo, that's so dumb. It's obvious that their relationship and being together is a help, not a hindrance. Ever heard of burnout?? Too much tennis, and too much focusing straight on tennis, isn't always good.

To me, Kim is bringing the best out of Lleyton, having her as his partner is really doing him good. The same applies to Kim having Lleyton... it hasn't hampered her career either, unlike some ignorant journalists sometimes dare to imply...

Right, re that burnout!

Being together for them should help them having a normal balance (or rather "as normal" as "normal" can be on tour anyway) between work (read tennis) and a happy private life.

If I were guessing, I'd say that Jason's acceptance of Lleyton's relationship with Kim was something that came up early in their discussions. I imagine Lleyton basically said, if you can't handle the fact that Kim's my girlfriend, you're not gonna be my coach. It doesn't seem to me that Jason minds a bit; in fact, I'd say he enjoys having Kim and Hayden to sit with in the player's box.

Besides, he was still playing when Lleyton and Kim first got together, so he's seen the development of their relationship from another point of view besides that of just a coach. He's gotten to know them both first as fellow players, and he's seen the way their relationship has developed and deepened and strengthened, and how they've grown and matured together, on the court and off. I seriously doubt that he disapproves of Lleyton spending time with Kim at all.

Those anti-Lleyton journalists really bother me simply because they're so quick to jump on anything Lleyton does and start to question his credibility, likes questioning if he really was sick

I think they should practice together because it's great for them. It allows them so still play some tennis and work out yet I'm sure it's not very serious and they still manage to sneak some fun out of it

Don't think that Jason would have a similar reaction. As Marly says, first of all, he has been an outsider and when he signed on for the job, he knew about Kim and Lleyton. And I am quite sure that Lleyton or his parents would have brought up that subject too, imo.

btw I never believed that Darren split up with Lleyton because of not being allowed to travel with his family. That was just a lame excuse not to touch the real story imo.

Of course you can come, Marly! We don't have to share a bed, even though I'm sure you'd love to. hehe. We have so many beds in my house, it's not even funny.

We can have one huge pajama party and pig out until we pass out!
