Question Abandoned matches

When a player retires from a match how come this isn't treated as "abandoned" where we get our money back?

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: Abandoned matches

Matches are only abandoned and voided if:
1. The first set of the match was not completed.
2. The first set was completed but the player that retired was leading on the scoreboard.

These market rules are stated in every thread.

Re: Abandoned matches

I think it's unfair! Maybe the player lost the first set because he picked up his injury back then! I put 500 on roddick, and now I'm not getting it back. This is robbery, I'd better get myself a new account then.....

Highway Robbery. Roddick stated in his interview it came in the first set.
