Angry Feli Needs a New Coach

I am so irritated (just saw the first round loss to grosjean, who wasn't playing well). I adore Feli and he has got such natural talent--the perfect tennis physique (OK, THE PERFECT ANY KIND OF PHYSIQUE MY GOD IT'S A CRIME TO LOOK THAT GOOD IN AND OUT OF CLOTHES.), great groundstrokes and wiliness when he's thinking straight. Anyone who saw him at wimbledon knows this. Also, at Pilot Penn. The consistency issue is just getting ridiculous. He needs someone to help him stay positive and cold-as-ice. He has the talent to be top 10. He just needs some help.

Robby Ginepri got his act together after seeing a sports therapist or whatever. Federer found a way through sheer force of will, it seems, too.

Feli, time is running out! You need to do what you need to do to improve your game. GET A NEW COACH OR A PSYCHOLOGIST OR A GURU OR SOMETHING.

Re: Feli Needs a New Coach

I volunteer to be his Guru

No really you're right. He's very inconsistent and as you say he really needs someone who's actually working for things to change in his mind and there doesnt seem to be much work done in that department...I think Feli's main problem from what I watched this year, he often loses dedication during matches and loses even to people he shouldnt. We saw what HE CAN when he's dedicated, see Wimby (though I didnt really see much ) The Q is does he himself realise he needs to get some directions from outside and does he care to get it. Maybe he cant change his character, but still he's in a sport where the battle is of characters, so if I were him I'd have tried to work on that.

I completely agree. He does need a coach or a sports psychologist. His results are way too inconsistant. Hope he does something sooner rather than later. Nows the time Feli

Another first round loss. Feli needs to get his head together NOW. GET A NEW COACH.

Does anyone know how the spanish coaching system works? It seems that a few of the guys maybe share coaches -- that long haired guy with brown hair and a pleasant face seemed to be at several spaniards matches... is this true at all?

I know, he really needs to open his eyes. Maybe experiment and see which one works best for him, but he has to change something. Don't know about all them sharing coaches......???
