I love him for this attitude.

Everyone who gives us the report (that includes jazz_girl), it is so appreciated! And please do not worry if you cannot report.

Adri, hang in there for another 2 weeks - then the European summer clay court season is almost there! Good luck!

Re: "Tenis Pro" (Zabaleta's show!)

This article is in Spanish, which is still abracadabra for me, but I guess they write something positive about the TENIS PRO. Just for your info.

http://www.ciudad.com.ar/ar/AR_Nota_...13,1824,00.asp

Thanks Reiko! When I can I´ll translate a few bits. I had no Internet at the office until I was about to leave, but perhaps tomorrow I´ll be permitted to carry on with this "work"!

The article is about the increase in tennis programmes on TV caused by the spectacular popularity of the sport in Argentina. Its description of Tenis Pro coincides pretty much with my own views: I'm always cursing their slapdash attitude to the programme, with not-funny funny bits, Mariano and Chelita going on camera with nothing prepared, and very bad quality footage. But while they have the entrée into that priviledged world we'll all continue to lap it up!

http://www.ciudad.com.ar/ar/AR_Nota...813,1824,00.asp

………….........But the oddity among the cable tennis programmes is undoubtedly Tenis Pro………………… It’s a mixture of edited home videos and a serious programme that falls short of expectations. Inside jokes, surreal scenes (such as Chela sprawled on a bed in Hamburg reading with some difficulty viewers’ emails… during five minutes!), subtitles with spelling errors and almost nothing about the “white” sport is the general trend of the series.

But there’s a real find in Tenis Pro (and it’s not the wit of its conductors, despite the recorded laughter): it permits us to gain access to places where a camera never enters. The players’ lives during their moments of leisure, the coarse jokes between them, the nicknames, the games during the long waits on the circuit, the travelling, the tours, the girlfriends. Where else could we find exclusive images of Marcela Kloosterboer kissing her boyfriend (Gaudio) on camera and fooling around like in a home video? Nothing about tennis, but a lot about kids wanting to laugh about nothing.

The whole point is that those kids are tennis players, the ones who make us rise at dawn in winter, stay up till all hours in summer and check out rankings, draws and TV schedules. So welcome, tennis.

Re: "Tenis Pro" (Zabaleta's show!)

Hi guys again! Thanks for your good luck wishes on my studies ... I'm officially over with this semester, all went good but now I'm taking 2 summer courses to get rid of some subjects I had hanging around (you know those annoying elective ones...). Anyways, I'm really upset with my Fox Sports signal, it's been 2 weeks and no show! all because of the football Confederations Cup which is like a small version of the World Cup. The matches are always on at the same time I used to get the show here. So unfortunately I can't give you any review now Let's hope I can watch something next week!!!

Adri, our special reviewer, is busy with her studies I guess. And of course, they come first! You'll have to content yourself of the reviews made by Jazz girl on the Mariano forum. But as far as I know, this thread isn't closed.

Best of LUCK to ALL my Faves in 2015
