Rosie, thanks for your kind words! I live now exactly in Praha and to be honest living here makes it look a bit "ordinary". But when I was in USA and saw a pic of Prague Castle on TV it made me almost cry.....that´s it - you miss it when you don´t have it.

That is so true! I travel a lot and I enjoy it - but nothing beats the sight of the sun rising over the River Thames with the Palace of Westminster and "Big Ben" in the distance- well, not in my opinion anyway!

Merci, merci, Choupi! Quelle beaute naturelle... je crois que bcp de Canadiens-Francais ont des ancetres bretons!

What nenadeSergio says is so true: for me, being from N American, I love to visit Europe or UK [so far] because they are so much older and have so much history and culture and tradition -- it's always an adventure for me!

Rosie, you know what I love about UK? The countryside and the tiny villages that you can just walk through -- so peaceful and tranquil and beautiful!!

Thanks for your nice words about UK RogiFan88 If course it isn't all tranquil and beautiful - we have our fair share of ghastly industrial cities too- I just try to avoid them. Sorry if this has been asked before but what part of N. America are you from?

Re: Where are we all from?

Sorry, when I made my illustrated report on Brittany, I forgot a very famous site and I'm ashamed since I've noticed it!!!!!

So here are 2 pics of the Mont St Michel, a famous abbey, totally surrounded by the sea. I've been there once and I must say it is very beautiful. The view from the top of the site is simply marvellous... especially when the weather is friendly. Well I've had that chance so...
I've chosen a day pic and a night pic. Enjoy.

Re: Where are we all from?

Choupi, I love anything Celtic, like Bretagne, Galicia, GB...

Mont St-Michel -- I've been to the British version, St. Michael's Mount.

Nope, not from Quebec... check out the weird photo I posted earlier... I can't find a decent pic without giving away the place I live in.

Yeah, Rosie, I know there are industrial places too -- mostly in the Midlands?? or Glasgow [altho it's cleaned up a bit now w the hip galleries, etc. and of course, deep-fried curried haggis, a specialty!!].

Yuk, it's raining cats and dogs today... blahhhh. Back to boring work.

Yes - mostly in the Midlands and the North - Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Bolton, Blackburn Glasgow is actually a beautiful city though some of the towns around it are not so nice. And thinking of Glaswegian food - ever tried deep-fried Mars Bars by the way Suprisingly no rain here tonight - we must have sent it all to you! But it is very cold- guess it will snow again tonight.
