Björn Borg gives 30 minute interview to Henri Leconte in 3 parts

There are 3 videos here and they are comprehensive interviews where Borg talks about most things. He mentions McEnroe, Connors, Gerulaitis, Nastase, how tight he strings his racquets and plenty of footage among other things.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kk50OdT5ww

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Funny Björn behaved like such an arsehole as a kid that he got suspended, well he learnt his lesson.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Interesting stuff there. Good interview by Leconte, some clips of play from the past, Borg gives his opinions on the game then and now. Tres bon, my French has improved as well.

With the good people.

MANCHESTER UNITED TREBLE WINNERS 1998-99.
PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2006-7. Take that, John Terry!

As Borg said he will always be in tennis in some form cause that is all he knows pretty much.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

That was a very nice and entertaining interview. Thanks for posting it GWH. I thought the whole Nastase-McEnroe tantrum comparison was hilarious.

Thanks, George. It was a great interview! And they did a great job with the file images!! I´m glad it was not just the 2 of them talking. The part about the Ice-Borg attitude was interesting
Leconte´s English is adorable

Yes, Henri's English is pretty cool. I still remember when he made his speech in 1988 at RG, the crowd were giving him the chorus music of boos.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Borg would refuse to give a Wimbledon title for a US Open title.
Good to know, he's still mentally in good shape.

Yeah Borg is one stable guy
...
Funny how he was trying to auction off 5-Wimbledon Trophies last year & then we hear that he wouldn`t trade 1-Wimby for 1-USO
#
What he really means is he doesn`t give a shit ...That`s why he quit during his prime, that`s why he never showed up at AO & that`s why he doesn`t care about losing the USO final 4-times & obviously the 5-successive Wimby trophies were meaningless to him until McEnroe talked some sense into him

He wanted to make cash and he had nothing else of interest.
