Some of these guys seem really talented.

I expect we'll hear a lot more from Yang, Trungelliti, Goffin, Belyaev, Donskoy, Kuznetsov, Kukelashvili and Stebe in particular.

Kukhalashvili and Yang even are still in the Ranking next year, as they are 1991.

Stebe got a new invented price of the German tennis federation in the Junior section.

Re: ATP rankings - U18

I wonder what the deal with Kukhalashvili is - he played in the Irish closed championships last week, losing in the semi finals to Colin O' Brien. Is he living in Ireland/applying for citizenship here or something? If not, why is he bothering with an insignificant tournament that's not even offering any points, in Ireland of all places? Sorry for the threadjack, I just couldn't find anywhere else where Lazare is being discussed.

Lazo is currently training with the Irish national squads at DCU, and has been for a good while now - around 12 months. His folks are here I understand, and yeah, I think the Irish would like to draft him in to Davis Cup so that he won't be able to play for Georgia... His play in the Irish national indoors was just because there's nothing happening anywhere else for his rank + it is probably the biggest Irish Open tournament outside of the Pro events in the summer (these 3 pro events are rumoured not be be running in '09 due to the financial crisis among other issues). Last year O'Brien won himself Davis Cup selection on the back of his performance at the Indoors before he had scored any points, so it does carry some weight apparently in the eyes of the few who matter.

You might say Lazo competing in this tournament displays his wish to represent Ireland.

Lazo is rated highly, and i can see why, while viewing his semifinal match with O'Brien, who is perhaps one of the more talented players to emerge recently.

Re: ATP rankings - U18

Waiting for the new ranking of year 1991 or later born - next week.

Dimitrov must then lead the list and Tomic (ATP533) will be number three I suppose.
