Really? I've only seen one full match of his but I didn't notice anything like his level of power. Or did you only mean in terms of movement of style of play?

Yeah. He has huge power off the FH and serve. Just check the KPH on his serve from the matches he played on courts that measure it. Honestly, every single thing about how he plays reminds me of Tsonga.

Ok fair enough. Maybe that was just an average match for him that I watched. I'd already written him off as another likely journeyman top 100 type like Saville, with Kokkinakis as likely the next big thing to come through for Australia after Tomic.

Sounds promising! Hope he can have a career like Tsonga, maybe with some grand slam titles.

Kokkinakis has now served twice for the match, and gets broken back both times.

And Kokkinakis finally wins 7-6 2-6 8-6. On course for an all Australian final

Kokkinakis 8-6 in the third. GQ barely won a point on serve in his last few service games.
