Re: 2008 USTA Boy's National Tennis Championships

I care! It looks like it's probably going to come down to Cox and Kudla, although Sock had a good win today and could be tough for Cox in the semis. Draw is here:

Re: 2010 USTA Boy's National Tennis Championships

It's hard to see anyone but Sock winning this. Frank poses the biggest threat, but it's a tall order even for him.

Fratangelo losing to Ore in the round of 32 was surprising. I still think he'll get a qualifying wild card.

Re: 2010 USTA Boy's National Tennis Championships

Giron could pose a threat. Ore with an impressive win over Fratangelo. He will be great for the Aggies in the upcoming year

Frank in scary form. Beating Gonzales Austin 6-0 6-1? Cavs aren't getting any weaker by adding Frank. Hopefully we get to see the Sock vs Frank final.

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson

I really like this group of guys in the quarterfinals. If they put the work in most of these guys can do some good things.

Our first two semifinalists are Frank and Styslinger.

Frank dropping sets to Smith and Callahan doesn't bode well for his chances against Sock.

I'm interested in seeing how competitive Halebian is against Sock. Halebian is an intriguing player.

I think Styslinger is also very intriguing. 6'4 and probably still growing with a 1-handed BH. And as we know bigger players are late-bloomers.

From what I hear, Frank plays like Devvarman.

Yeah, it's a fair enough comparison.

Re: 2010 USTA Boy's National Tennis Championships

Giron d. Novikov 6-0 7-6(5)
Sock d. Halebian 6-1 6-1
Jack has now won 9 straight sets by that same score
Pretty expected results.
At this point Halebian has absolutely no way to deal with Jack's weight of shot.
