Question Half Way To A Junior Slam

How come there has been little or no press on Gael Monfils being half way to a junior slam after winning the Aussie and French Junior singles titles?
Didnt he also just win the HUUUGE junior title in FLorida as well?
Seems like he has the goods for a pro career.
6 4 and already serving upwards of 135 miles per hour!

Post Re: Half Way To A Junior Slam

Monfils was on a Tv program yesterday for the first time on France's canal +. He says that he did not have much pressure when he competed at French juniors and his aim is to win the slam. Will be difficult but not impossible but it would be good if he can win one more. As for a lot of press coverage I would be against it. Doing good on junior tour does not necessarily translate into success on pro. tour. Look at Elsner.

he lost quite easily to kendrick is it? in the qualies, so it shows how big the gap is between juniors and seniors

dang he serves that fast? as long as he can volley he should be quite good at Wimbledon in Boys and Mens singles.

Critics say that he has a hard serve like Roddick. Physically he has long legs & also has powerful groundstrokes. He is a ctually pretty mild-mannered like Sampras.
