Is anything wrong with Andy Murray?

I've just seen the scoreboard and it says Murray duo's lost 1R doubles match because of retirement. I'm just wondering if it's because Andy's injured or is it Jamie?

NOTE: I'm not claiming that Jamie's injury would be less important, i'm just asking which of the bros suffers from something

Re: Is anything wrong with Andy Murray?

Yes it was Andy that retired...

Apparently it's 'touch and go' whether he will play his singles match tomorrow, with the likely outcome being that he will not

I think he has injured either his groin or his back (second hand information... Lol.)

That's a pity if he's too hurt to play. Hope he gets better soon. Any updated information would be most appreciated if you find it.

Re: Is anything wrong with Andy Murray?

It was first thought to be a back injury. However Sportinglife, has now said it's a foot injury.

Re: Is anything wrong with Andy Murray?

That'd be a pitty, if Andy couldn't play his single match tomorrow.

EDIT:
A foot injury...Well, I wonder what part of his body will give him troubles next.

They're still saying it's his back on his website.

There's not much info around at the moment though his participation in the singles is in some doubt now.

Re: Is anything wrong with Andy Murray?

Little update:

BBC Radio Five Live have just stated that it was a back injury that caused the retirement...

The injury apparently occurred when "...he hit shot and started grimacing and twisting. He actually played a good set but it was obvious something was wrong..."

And then Andy .... "..shuffled off court, arm around the physio"

According to people around Andy his "back went into spasms" and Andy has said that he is "Just going to have to see what it feels like tomorrow morning.."

It's kind of worrying that a 19 year old is having "back spasms"

Almagro also withdrew from doubles, but still won the tournament last week...

Re: Is anything wrong with Andy Murray?

He's been playing carrying niggly injuries since Indian Wells and should stop now and fully recover before playing further. There's just no point in him limping through another clay season like last year.
