Soderling def Rochus 6:4 6:4

Soderling continues to play well. I can see him in Top 15 in a couple of months. Round 1 in both RG and Wimbledon!

Soderling will be a non factor in the clay season, but good win from him.

Nevertheless, he has lots to defend in the clay season - twice Last 16 in Masters, one tournament he skipped (low ranking last year - Rome), so 75 more points will go. So before RG he has to do well.
But props to him for saving six breakopint against Rochus in 2nd and converting his own lone chance.

Soderling is a good player on clay, so I can see him being able to defend and even increase the points in MC and Hamburg.

I imagine that Mats is very interested in Robin's performance on clay this season as Sweden decides what court to use for DC.

I like a lot of players.

Nope, he has victories over Nalbandian, Davydenko, Ferrer etc. on clay while all of those guys have been ranked in/near the top ten. He's got enough game to trouble most players no matter what the surface and seems to have some natural instincts on how to modify his game for clay.

This shall be the spring of the battletoad.

Best of luck for:

Yup, Söderling prefers indoors but has a lot more game than a non-factor.

Nice result Robin.

I don't like hypocrites, but even worse are the ones who think it's OK to be an asshole as long as you are not hypocritical.
