Federer interview on Stade 2

Federer was the guest of the french tv show Stade 2. They interviewed him live from Monte Carlo.
He said he likes clay and that he even practiced on clay this winter.
They asked him about the best of 3 instead of best of 5 TMS finals but I don't remember what he said.
They asked him about Gasquet and he said he was surprised/disappointed that he's not top10 yet and that it must be frustrating for him to see Djokovic and Murray in the top10. He prefers Richard's game to the game of the other two.

The video should be on www.france2.fr very soon.

He said it was no big difference, though a 3 setter's always an advantage for the underdog...

Three set finals will certainly be more of a help to Federer than to Nadal should they meet in MC, Rome or Hamburg.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Not the first time he said he'd like first Richard to break through (among the young guns) rather than Nole or Muzza, he just prefers his game, no personal issue here...

Well here we are again - the clay season is upon us, and with it, Federer's Thought for the Day.

Roger is just playing cool, he pretends that Nole doesn't exist but he is seriously knocking on his door . I don't buy that he truelly admires Gasquet, Gasquet is like Roddick to him, one good shot and relativelly easy victory
