i really miss the safin, hewitt, federer( well he's still here of course...) ferrero, guga, magnus norman, roddick, and other guys who emerged in the 2000-2001...they were just much more fun to watch then the new generation from today they were more charismatic than the murray, djokovic, del potro generation...and their battle against sampras, agassi, rafter, kafelnikov that was real tennis !! today i'm

Yes I do miss the charismatic generation.

They're all old now - 25, 26 can you believe it?

The only reason you missed them is because lucky Hewitt was No. 1

Kolya you are talking rubbish, they were so much better. I LOVED that generation, thats why all of my photos I use for whatever like display photos, avatars etc are from that era. Today we have Robredo in the top 10, he wouldnt have made it back in 2000 thats for sure.

Not at all.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

For sure, its very boring right now, although it does look kinda exciting with all these new guys coming through this year....

I can remember 2003, one of the best tennis years I've known....

Re: who's missing the 2000 new balls domination??

The race for the title as year end no. 1 in 2003 between Roddick, Federer and Ferrero was brilliant. I hope we get another battle for top spot along those exciting lines in the not too distant future.

even hewitt at nr1 today won't be as interseting as these years!! how do you compare a guy like safin or ferrero with djokovic ?? the generation of the 86-87 is perhaps talented but surely not as entertaining as the old one of hewitt, safin and ferrero

That's your opinion and you are totally entitled to have it, but of course you will find people here who like the players you don't like. It's just natural. People have different opinions and that's good

I miss a lot of players who aren't around anymore, but that's the way sports goes.

Nope - the Baby balls will make their mark soo enough.

I don't like hypocrites, but even worse are the ones who think it's OK to be an asshole as long as you are not hypocritical.

Nope I don't miss them.

I think the new generation is just as charismatic and interesting, you just need to get to know them

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer
