Croatia at home

Let's hope Ljubicic comes out of DC retirement for it

Re: Davis Cup WG playoffs drawn

Serbia will probably be promoted.
Austria should be okay
Belarus will probably survive
Chile should win that one
Very tough tie between Croatia and GB
Also tough between Czechs and Swiss but if Federer plays, tie over
Romania look safe
Slovaks should win that one.

2 or perhaps 3 of those ties look truly competitive.

Horna should win both matches and Miranda 1.

Re: Davis Cup WG playoffs drawn

Peru should try and recruit an Argie to play for them. Horna should be able to win both his matches and it could be bye bye Belarus.

Federer will be playing in the Czech Republic this time to keep them in the WG

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Davis Cup WG playoffs drawn

Croatia? Who?

Andy Murray will take out Ljubichoke in 3 easy sets and James Ward, making his first Davis Cup appearance, will take Ancic in a thrilling 5 set encounter, in which Ancic blows 17 match points...

Re: Davis Cup WG playoffs drawn

Croatia!!!!!!!!

Plea to John Lloyd...find a grass court and plant Ljubo on it No need to worry about Winter cold setting in...hire some patio heaters and dot them around the court

Very difficult tie...Croatia was one of about 3 for us to avoid (given that we probably won't win) but a nice tie to attend...I can probably only attend doubles (might consider Sunday), but that is still good

I am not saying it's right, but he will do that.

As for Serbia, time to roll out the heavy clay.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Plea No. 2 To John Lloyd: Keep the tie in the North (i.e no souther than Birmingham)...the atmosphere is a world apart from that at the likes of Eastbourne (e.g the crowd was v.quite during the Israel match). North = Noisier, more passionate and rowdy
