I'm sad too - poor Fer and Feli.

But I'm happy for Andy.

Good work all round from the US team this weekend - they've all done their part well to wrap this up in 2 days.

The spaniards showed some great fighting spirit. Fun to watch although this match proves the Bryans are overrated. They struggled vs 2 mediocre singles players with bad volleys infront of a huge home crowd. They get their wins vs singles players who could care less about doubles and there is little competition on the doubles tour.

I was really pulling for Spain, especially at the end. Well done by the Bros. Bryan and the USA.

Great effort from Feli and Fernando..

The US should play Sam Querrey and Donald Young tomorrow. Are they both eligible to play?

no, only the 4 nominated players can play. I imagine James will play, and one of the Bryans instead of Andy.

That was a lot of fun to watch, excellent effort from the Spanish team. They looked like they were really enjoying themsleves out there, and they made it a match to the end. Good for tennis.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.
