Lleyton Hewitt`s career to be cut short by injuries??? [*poor Llegs falling apart><!]

*@@*
Very sad to see Hewitt withdraw from Miami with a back injury
Two weeks ago at IW the back also flared up & disrupted his play><.

*In 2007 Hewitt has withdrawn from 4-tourneys due to injury [Sydney, Marseille, Rotterdam, Miami]!
*In 2006 Hewitt didn`t play a single tourney after USO
*For the last two years Hewitt`s only averaged 12-tourneys per year><..

Lleyton`s ankles, back, hips, & most of his torso seem to be very injury prone

###Will these injuries cut Hewitt`s career short???
Is Lleyton overtraining???? Or undertraining????
Do you think Hewitt`s unlucky or do these injuries have something to do with his playing style???

*@@*Hope Hewitt can bounce back & enjoy an injury free couple of seasons to atleast end his career on somewhat of a highnote

Cut his career short? Please. He's been a pro since he was 15. It's time to go, Lleyton.

he could walk out the door now and still be in the HOF.

I cannot stand Djokovic
NEW YORK METS

I'm an American who loves clay tennis and the clay season...what is wrong with that picture?

Hewitt needs rest, you can't play full-time tennis for 10 years without having some wear and tear.

Well most people would agree Hewitt deserves to be in the HOF

But the question is will his body allow him to play tennis at a high level [Top 20] any longer??? Obviously he wants to keep playing but the body seems to be going against his wishes><..

It seems to be getting increasingly worse, pulling out of tournaments everywhere now.

Maybe it's time to maybe rest for a while to get himself as fit as possible and try to make a comeback.

Hewitt`s played the least tournaments of any Top-50 player in the last 2-years [mostly due to injuries] ... Do you think he`ll overcome this crisis of being injury plagued

Re: Lleyton Hewitt`s career to be cut short by injuries??? [*poor Llegs falling apart><!]

It's very sad. I've always been a closet fan I love watching when he's really pumped about the matches, like in the 2005 Australian Open where he was fired up. He doesn't seem to have much motivation anymore and his body is prone to injury because of his taxing style of play.

I'd love to see a comeback, but I'm not sure how he would accomplish that, especially if he's constantly injured.

Rooting for: Roddick | Federer | Blake| Fish | Bryans | Gasquet | Querrey | Baghdatis | Verdasco | Kimmy
Missing: Andre | Safin | Women's tennis

He will recover but won't reach the top 10.

At least with Hewitt you know that success is just around the corner when he's fully fit. Compare him to the likes of Ferrero, Moya, Roddick and Safin. All ex-world #1 and none of them have won a title this year. Hewitt just won a title barely 3 weeks ago. It's not like he's on a serious drought or anything, like Ferrero who hasn't won a title in 4 years.

I don't know, I think that a GS semi, in Roddick's case, is at least close to a small tourney win in Vegas. Compare their rankings, they don't lie.

I see your point with the other guys.
