Is Murray still growing?

Is it just me or is Murray taller every time I see him. I thought one can grow up to about 18 or so, but he seems taller every time even now.

Probably this also helped his service game which is a lot better this season IMO. What do you think?

Re: Is Murray still growing?

I think he was 6'1 at the start of the 06 season and 6'3 at the start of the 07 season, not sure if he will get any taller though.

Re: Is Murray still growing?

I dont think he is taller but he is for sure broader

His service imo has been helped by getting stronger - He has a very heavy raquet and extra strength has helped balance this

He still has a lot of filling out to do. Wait to see how good he is when he doesn't have the body of a gawky teenager.

On atptennis.com last year he was 1.85, now is 1.90 cm I don't believe in ATP height but it is quite possible. Theoretically a man can grow till 25 years. Kiefer's height on atptennis was changing when he was 23 or something.

Exactly. Same thing with Monfils who started at 6'2 and now is 6'5

People can grow all the way till 25 or so, albeit very slowly after 17-18.

Re: Is Murray still growing?

he is gettin thicker though. his legs are much fuller. and he is getting more shoulders. i wish that his face would also get fuller, i think he would look cuter. its great to see a boy turning into a man, well almost. but to be 19 and have his body type already is great. i guess nadal would be an exception cause he already was so physically complete by the time he was 19, and he still may grow. djokovic is another who needs just a touch more filling in. monfils also needs to get thicker, he looks so gawky on court, but he can still hit the ball hard.

* and to hear that people can still grow till they are 25 gives me some hope. im 21 now and i think im going through puberty again. hahaha

Re: Is Murray still growing?

Maybe I was just wrong with my information about growing.

I agree that he is thicker. Partly this might be due to more gym work, but also due to his age I guess. It's quite normal. He'll never look like Nadal though and that's good.

So we can agree that he obviously is still growing and has an improved serve this year? I hope for him that he won't grow until 25 though.

Re: Is Murray still growing?

Still looks 6'1" here at Doha next to 6'4" Ivan:

Could be slouching, of course.

Monfils is pure muscle, and quite filled out.
