Who is better?

Just curious about what people think. They may play in the semis.

N.B. (1) I'm deliberately excluding the overrated moonballer Gasquet from this thread.

N.B. (2) If neither of these two is able to stop Federer once they hit their peaks, he will end up with over 20 Slams. There will be nothing in his path. They are the Fed-haters' last hope. Donald Young is not going to do the job, I'm afraid.

Re: Who is better?

I don't think anyone could really spilt them at this stage, I personally need more time to decide, and more results and meetings between the two.

David Nalbandian /.\ Marcos Baghdatis /.\ Juan Martin Del Potro /.\ Alejandro Falla /.\ Bernard Tomic /.\ Gustavo Kuerton /.\
/.\Roger Federer /.\

Re: Who is better?

I think Murray has more to his game, but Nole has the more consistant game. Kinda hard to seperate them at this point (they just seem to be joined together results wise as well) but just in terms of shots, technique and results against higher-ranked players I give the edge to Murray. That's not intended to diss Nole though.

Andy Murray
Novak Djokovic ~ Juan Martin Del Potro ~ Paul Henri Mathieu ~ Rafael Nadal ~ Tomas Berdych ~ Stanislas Wawrinka ~ Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ~ Richard Gasquet

Djokovic for sure. Murray is so overated by the British so people think that he is better.

Show some reasons for this otherwise I will be forced to assume that it is hater BS.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

I am pretty sure Nadal can stop Federer as well. Unless you believe Djoko & Murray are better than Nadal at beating Fed.

About the question I think Murray is slightly better but Djoko is more consistent.

In 2 or 3 yrs:

#1 Nadal
#2 Murray
#3 Djokovc

The ATP deserves a better class of player, and I'm gonna give it to 'em - Djoker

8-8 against top ten players - not exactly over-rated now, is he if you're being honest?

Re: Who is better?

I would say Murray - more natural talent, flair, variety to his game. Also has proved himself against players in the top 10. Gilbert has brought consistency to his game too. Last time he had one of those nightmarish performances was against Baghdatis at Wimbledon '06 (pre-Gilbert)

That said - Nole will probably break the Top 10 first. I like them both and I think the two of them along with Nadal will be at the forefront of the game for a long time to come.

My favourites

Andy Murray / Fernando Gonzalez / Mikhail Youzhny / Simone Bolleli / Kei Nishikori / Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

Glasgow Rangers - 51 league titles, we welcome the chase!

Both are great, it's needless to compare them at this stage.

Re: Who is better?

Murray's game is better than Novak's game but if he is unable to put it together on big occasions, it means nothing. I would like Murray to progress more so I have a wait and watch attitude on this.

Need ideas for a new signature...

Re: Who is better?

right now my vote goes to Nole just because Murray sucks at serving under pressure, he allways has a set full of crappy service games in each tournaments, at least 2 matches per tournament. But Murray has the best potential for sure.

Re: Who is better?

Djokovic won't stop Federer. Nadal can only win on clay, and maybe exceptionally slow hard courts.

Murray is the only threat to Federer on fast courts.
