Nicely done Andy, time to send Ljubo home and then meet up with Nadal in the semis

An entertaining match. Battle of two shots, really. Gasquet's bh was smoking, but he couldn't cope with Andy's serve.

Verily, the Eyes of Nadal shall gore thy soul...
...but the Hand of Federer shall smite thee.

If Roddick keeps up this form he'll have IW in the bag.

Re: Roddick def Gasquet 7-6, 6-3

Never in doubt. Decent quality match, but that first set tiebreak was everything.

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

Gasquet isn't good at night session. He lost NS in the last US Open, Aus Open and here again. Speedy A-Rod is in form

Re: Roddick def Gasquet 7-6, 6-3

I am disappointed, but not at all surprised. All about the serve tonight- Andy never faced a BP.

Gasquet played a great first set, then had a few sketchy points in the tiebreak and never seemed to get it together after that. He's got all the shots- I just wish he'd fight a little bit more.

No, its not that, hes just not good against any of the top players, definatly somthing mental as he has the talent to beat anybody on the tour.

Nicely done. Fun match actually, really high quality. Both were going toe to toe, but Gasquet's forehand in the TB was disgusting, poor dude . After that his game dipped slightly and Roddick picked it up big time. Looks like the favorite to win the whole thing. Please don't fuck up vs Ljubishit on Thursday .

Re: Roddick def Gasquet 7-6, 6-3

When Roddick plays like he did tonight, there's not a lot of people that can stay on the court with him. Overall Gasquet played well, but had a loose service game and a loose tiebreak; since he couldn't touch Roddick's serve, that was the difference.

That was a very fast match, just 73 minutes !
Congrats to Andy, he didn't give any hope to Richard...

Gasquet is overrated

Well done, Andy! You must now defeat Evil Ljubo.

Gasquet needs to join Roddick's buddy, Blake, and follow the yellow brick road...to ask the wizard for brains, heart, AND courage....nuff said.
