Question Is it the end?

After his disastrous loss to an unknown lucky loser, many tennis experts start to wonder if it is the beginning of the end for Fed.

Re: Is it the end?

At least one tennis ignoramus is evidently wondering the same thing.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

It's the end of his Indian wells in the men's singles....

We can safely say that.

Federer doesn't end, he simply ceases to be.

Re: Is it the end?

...because he lost one match after 41 consecutive victories? Clearly it's the beginning of the end.

Canas is unknown?

Anyway, lets' not get carried away. It's not the end of anything but his chances at Indian Wells this year.

Canas is many things...but I think one thing we can safely say he is not is "unknown."

I say more stupid stuff at https://twitter.com/Hurleytennis.

Re: Is it the end?

Yes, my friends, the bubble of success has been popped by the needle that is Guillermo Canas. The resulting splash will affect the tour in proportions unbelievably huge, as the feigned splendor of the false king has been smashed away! Xristos, the throne is yours.

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

Re: Is it the end?

no way, he is only 25 not 35

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land
