Guillermo Canas def Roger Federer 7:5 6:2

Three words: lack of motivation

Federer never looked well and Cañas played well, but he wasn't that good. I've seen better from him.

This looked like Cincinatti 2006! Well, open competition right now! The dad is not around, so let the party begin!

Willy "THE FIGHTER" Canas (LL) OUTGUNS Roger Federer (1), wiped the floor 7-5 6-2

COOOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEEE OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

The biggest fighter on tour did it. This is my man. Genius play by Canas forcing Fed to play one more ball for every point.

No, Federer was beaten soundly and into submission. Don't let Federer's antics fool you. Canas had 9 UFE to Fed's 43.

Canas, does owe Malisse some money though.

Well I didn't see that coming. Well deserved win for Canas though.

Wow.

Amazing match from Willy - serving extremely well, placement was troubling Federer all match and was a wall from the back of the court.

Federer, yeah not great but it's a rare player who finds a way to capitalise. Cañas kept solid and sane and steady and took the chances that came his way.

Federer was to erratic, but credit to Cañas who beat fed on a day where he would of still beaten most players, he just made him play every shot...
