Gonzalez def. Dancevic 7-6(6) 1-6 7-5

It is always good to win even If you're not playing at your best, esp since you're a top player Feña!

Dancevic played an awesome match! Props to him.

Watched it on Star Sports livestream and since Feña was my favourite, it almost cost me a heart attack

He wasn't playing his best tennis and Dancevic did really well....

A big relief it turned out well for Feña

A win is a win, winning ugly is not the fair, but considering Feña didn't play since a long time is not that bad.

Dancevic played amazingly good today but simply Frankie "don't go to Hollywood" at least for now

A post that deserves to be on MTF Hall of Fame soon:

I was very entertaining to watch. To bad it had to end on a DF.

Gonzo hung tough though, it seemed like the only thing going for him was a couple missed calls and missed overrules by the ump.

Dancevic dominated and pulled off plenty of amazing shots; shame he missed too many easy ones which ultimately cost him the match.

Re: Gonzalez def. Dancevic 7-6(6) 1-6 7-5

That overrule at 30 all in the first game of the 3rd set was an absolute shocker. Dancevic would've had a break point at a time when he was totally on top. Impressive performance from him. It's not often you see someone hitting more winners than Gonzo. I fail to see how it consitutes a choke either but then I guess a match thread on this forum wouldn't be complete without someone throwing that in.

"Nearly Won" Dancevic rides again.

One day he may find it in him to clear that one final hurdle. He certainly does the work up until that point.

Re: Gonzalez def. Dancevic 7-6(6) 1-6 7-5

WHEW!!! That was too close Fernando must have been a bit rusty but to Dancevic for a good match. Fernando showed he is a top 5 player now, hanging tough and finding a way to win even on off day. It seems to be one of the things that seperates good players from the top players IMO. Hopefully he'll be sharper for Soderling though.....
