Well done Andy. Pretty easy win. He didn't need to play that well. He played it smart and got the win. It could have been easier but he chucked his serve when he had a double break in the first.

Hopefully Marat will beat Mahut eventually and that will be a nice matchup between him and Andy.

Nice and easy does it for Andy. Consistent, high % of first serves in and playing sensibly in the wind.

Plays Mahut next - should be a nice simple win hopefully conserving energy to face Davydenko

I'm sure Andy would have preferred to play Safin, and I must say I would have been sceptical as to whether he'd beat the Russian. Based on today's scoreline, I'd say he'd have had Safin easily, and Mahut is still a nice R3 for him. Murray should be ready for a stern R4 test...

Davy is playing Querry next which could be a good match given Davy's results so far this year.

Davy should beat Querrey without too much drama...he is a bad match for the American

I wouldnt be too sure about that.

Grats to Andy!!!

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.
