As an Agassi fan, I have very bad memories of the 1995 US Open final. Agassi came into match on the back of a 26 match and 4 tournament winning streak. He was no.1 in the rankings and Pete was no. 2. Andre had beaten Pete in 3 out of their 4 clashes that year before this match. Andre could never beat Pete at Flushing Meadows and this defeat was the very painful, as IMO it triggered his downfall. Pete soon snatched the no. 1 spot of him, and his results became worse and worse.

Going into that 1995 US Open match I wasn't too optimistic considering that Andre seemed to be gaining the upper hand in the rivalry and was near to unbeatable on hard courts. Agassi was #1 and people were just about ready to write Sampras off. But the serving display he put on in that final was just
not to mention that legendary set point with Andre serving 4-5 in the first set which Pete won to win the first set
